The police are investigating allegations that the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party submitted fraudulent signatures to the Electoral Commission of SA (IEC). National police commissioner Fannie Masemola said police were "still trying to verify if there's really a case" after claims made by former MK Party official Lennox Ntsondo last week. 

Advocate Lennit Max has resigned from the Freedom Front (FF) Plus and made serious allegations of racism and deception against Corné Mulder – the party's Western Cape premier candidate in the 29 May general election. In a statement, he alleged that coloured people in the FF Plus were subjected to name-calling. 
 
Proteas white-ball coach Rob Walter on Tuesday named his 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled from 1-29 June in the West Indies and USA. Aiden Markram will captain the side in what will be his first World Cup assignment as skipper. The squad features two T20I debutants Ryan Rickelton Ottniel Baartman.
