Adriaan’s top 10 reads of the day | Klerksdorp attacker bolts, Dudu in the dock, Williams winging it

ADRIAAN BASSON, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Backdoor Bosasa deals have come back to bite former SAA board chairperson Dudu Myeni, who appeared in the dock of the Richards Bay Magistrate's Court on fraud and corruption charges on Friday. Myeni was arrested together with Trevor Mathenjwa, a former Bosasa executive. They were later released on R10 000 bail each.

The man accused of killing father-of-two Hilton Pretorius in a bloody parking lot brawl in Klerksdorp earlier this month bolted out of the country shortly after Pretorius succumbed to his injuries in hospital. News24 earlier revealed that Wernich Botha left SA's borders while out on bail as his release was granted without conditions on his movement.

New Springbok star Grant Williams made his mark at the Rugby World Cup when he scored a brace of tries in South Africa's 76-0 win over Romania earlier this month. Williams will get another chance to showcase his talents when he starts on the wing for the Boks against Tonga in Marseille on Sunday night.

That's it for this week. Have a lovely weekend.

Regards,
Adriaan
